NEW YORK, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has contracted L-3 Communications to provide Central Command's Kuwait Observer-Controller Team program with training support services.
New York-based L-3 says its MPRI division was awarded the contract to work with U.S. company Raytheon supporting training initiatives as part of the Kuwait Observer-Controller Team program.
Under the $162.7 million follow-on award MPRI will work as a subcontractor to Raytheon at the Udari Range in Kuwait providing training services to U.S. troops and coalition forces.
"This program will enhance the skills and preparedness of our soldiers and contribute to their operational success," Jim Jackson, MPRI International Group senior vice president and general manager, said in a statement.
"We are honored to continue to support the U.S. Army's training needs in Kuwait."
