MCLEAN, Va., Nov. 11 (UPI) -- The U.S Homeland Security Department has contracted Science Applications International Corp. to support Immigration and Customs Enforcement modernizations.
U.S. company SAIC was awarded the task orders as part of the Homeland Security Department's Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions contract vehicle.
Under the $189 million deal, SAIC will provide the Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Office of the Chief Information Officer with modernization support in a move to strengthen information sharing and integration strategies among other advances.
"SAIC is honored by the 15-year legacy of trust that Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed with our people, processes, and innovation," Doug Wagoner, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager, said in a statement.
"These five re-compete task order awards allow SAIC to further enhance Immigration and Customs Enforcement's capabilities in information sharing, analyst-to-agent collaboration, and data exploitation to enhance national security and make our communities safer."
