HUNT VALLEY, Md., Nov. 11 (UPI) -- The British Ministry of Defense has contracted AAI Corp. to deliver its Missile Warning System Test Set marking a milestone order for the company.

U.S. company AAI says its U.K.-based ESL Defense unit was awarded the contract. Under the deal, ESL will deliver its Baringa Missile Warning System Test Set to support ongoing military operations around the world.

The order becomes the 500th of ESL's Baringa technologies sold marking a milestone for the company. The Baringa system is designed to simulate missile plume signatures that officials say stimulate aircraft missile warning systems.

"Having confidence that missile warning systems are fully operational before heading into harm's way is invaluable for air crews," ESL Managing Director Bob Fox said in a statement.
