SAN DIEGO, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- BAE Systems announced it has put together a team to compete for an intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and targeting contract from the U.S. Navy.
British company BAE says its team, which includes General Dynamics, Sun Microsystems, MTCSC, Space Dynamics Laboratory, InVisM, and Athena Consulting, was formed to compete for a prime contract from the Navy that will provide support for the Distributed Common Ground System-Navy transition to an application-based system.
BAE says its team will vie for the Navy's primary intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and targeting system next development phase as part of an effort to strengthen mission critical decision-making capabilities.
"Knowledge and intelligence are essential elements in providing an advantage to our warfighters," Gene Glazar, BAE Systems president of information solutions, said in a statement.
"This team is dedicated to ensuring that our Navy maintains information dominance in any battle space."
