RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., Nov. 6 (UPI) -- AM-MAC Inc. has contracted Cyberlux Corp. to deliver its tactical lighting technologies to support the U.S. Defense Department field operations requirements.

Cyberlux was selected by New Jersey-based AM-MAC as part of its contract with the Defense Department's Defense Logistics Agency. Under the award, Cyberlux will deliver its BrightEye Tactical Lighting Systems to support maintenance and force operations requirements of the Defense Department.

Officials say the BrightEye technology is a lightweight illumination technology that provides mission critical lighting for military operations. The technology has been widely deployed for U.S. operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

"We remain enthusiastic knowing that our BrightEye Tactical Lighting Systems are being so well received in the Iraqi theater of operation," Mark Schmidt, Cyberlux chief executive officer, said in a statement.

"Based upon our continued sales penetration within the military and governmental agencies, we are seeing a steady increase in demand for our products."
