WASHINGTON, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- The FBI has contracted U.S. company Sim-G Technologies to design and maintain the National Gang Intelligence Center Information System.

Sim-G, an engineering and professional services provider, was selected for the task order as part of a General Services Administration Alliant Government-wide Acquisition Contract.

Under the $15 million deal, Sim-G will design and deploy the FBI's NGIC Information System. Officials say Sim-G will additionally operate and maintain the system for the FBI.

"We are elated that the FBI has selected Sim-G Technologies to support this very important initiative," said Mark McIntosh, Sim-G Technologies president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
