LM to continue providing network support

ARLINGTON, Va., Nov. 3 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has contracted Lockheed Martin to continue providing the Pentagon and National Capital region with network support services.

U.S. company Lockheed Martin was awarded the contract from the Army Information Technology Agency to continue its network support through the Network Infrastructure Service Center.

Under the $292.7 million deal, Lockheed Martin will provide the Pentagon's network infrastructure operations maintenance and security support among other requirements at the Pentagon and National Capital region.

"We're thrilled to continue to support the critical mission of the Pentagon by ensuring top quality, secure networks," Ron Stefano, Lockheed Martin Information Systems and Global Service-Defense vice president, said in a statement.

"It is truly a testament to the solid partnership our team has with our military customer. Their mission is our mission, and we are proud to support them."
