ASM to deploy AppDetectivePro scanning

NEW YORK, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- U.S. company ASM Research has deployed a scanning technology from Applications Security to detect database vulnerabilities for defense applications.

Application Security announced ASM has selected its AppDetectivePro database scanning technology to support automated audit and reporting of database vulnerabilities for its Defense Department clients.

The AppDetectivePro is a database security risk and compliance solution designed to detect vulnerabilities and misconfigurations of critical database to support security applications.

"Our clients include many of the largest Department of Defense agencies, so it's critical that we offer the analytics and reporting capabilities required to comply with Defense Information Systems Agency Security Technical Implementation Guides policy standards," Orlando Ferreiras, ASM security, information assurance services director, said in a statement.
