Naval supply center contracts SAIC

MCLEAN, Va., Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Science Applications International Corp. has been selected to provide the U.S. Navy's Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk with support services.

U.S. company SAIC was awarded the more than $70 million indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract to provide ongoing professional services to the Industrial Supply Center Norfolk.

The contract is designed to support the Commander, Naval Installations Command Headquarters and Chief of Naval Operations, program management, engineering and logistics services among other requirements.

"We look forward to providing quality support services to help the Commander, Naval Installations Command as it continues to enable and enhance Navy combat power by providing effective and efficient shore services and support," Tom Baybrook, SAIC senior vice president and business unit manager, said in a statement.
