
ANDOVER, Mass., Oct. 27 (UPI) -- The U.S. Air Force has placed two follow-on orders with Dynamics Research Corp. to provide C-5 and KC-135 aircraft support services.
U.S. company DRC was awarded the task orders worth a combined $8 million from the Air Force's Design and Engineering Support Program. Under the first award DRC will support the C-5 heavy lift military aircraft Landing Gear Integrity Program in a move to identify system deficiencies.
As part of the second task order contracted through the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, DRC will support the KC-135 aerial refueling tanker aircraft Maintenance Burden Solution development including analyzing ways to improve technical order maintenance practices among others.
"DRC is pleased to participate in this leading-edge program, and looks forward to supporting the Air Force Depots with the full range of our technical capabilities," Robert Smith, DRC Acquisition Management and Engineering Group senior vice president and general manager, said in a statement.
