DynCorp completes Phoenix purchase

FALLS CHURCH, Va., Oct. 20 (UPI) -- U.S. company DynCorp International announced it has finalized an acquisition of training and services provider Phoenix Consulting Group Inc.

DynCorp announced the completed acquisition of Phoenix Consulting Group as part of an effort to expand on its service offerings to the intelligence community.

Phoenix, a provider of intelligence, counterintelligence and special operations training services among others, will become a business unit under DynCorp's Global Stabilization and Development Solutions segment.

"I am very pleased we have completed this important acquisition, which demonstrates our focus on accelerating growth, expanding service offerings and penetrating new segments," William Ballhaus, DynCorp International president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.

"We look forward to integrating the skills and services offered by Phoenix, which will enable DynCorp International to extend its ability to deliver compelling services to the intelligence community and other national security clients."
