ROANOKE, Va., Oct. 19 (UPI) -- ITT has been contracted for its night-vision monocular technology for delivery to the U.S. Air Force, Navy and Army for deployment with soldiers in the field.

U.S. company ITT was awarded the deal from the Army's Research Development & Engineering Command Acquisition Center as part of an Omni VII contract.

Under the $19.3 million award, ITT will deliver its AN/PVS-14 night-vision monocular devices. The widely deployed night-vision devices, which can be hand-held, head or weapon-mounted, are expected to be distributed to the Air Force Navy and Army.

"We are pleased to support all branches of the U.S. military with our premier night vision ground goggle," ITT's Night Vision Business President Mike Hayman said in a statement.

"This most recent award allows ITT to continue to provide superior technology that helps the U.S. warfighter own the night."
