RESTON, Va., Sept. 24 (UPI) -- Information technology giant NCI Inc. said it was awarded a $4.2 million supplement to provide disaster recovery for Fort Bragg data centers in North Carolina.

NCI said its approximately $4.2 million task order extends September to July 2009 for data centers at the U.S. Army's Fort Bragg installation processing node and disaster recovery center facilities.

The recovery center provides disaster recovery systems to support data network and storage infrastructure in support of the U.S. Army Forces Command and the U.S. Army Reserve Command.

"NCI and its team member, Booz Allen Hamilton, are pleased to have been selected to provide detailed engineering, procurement, installation, cutover, test, and integration services for the Fort Bragg Data Center Infrastructure work," said NCI President Terry Glasgow.

The task order supplements a $48.9 million contract for NCI under the U.S. Army's Base Realignment and Closure program used by the U.S. Defense Department.
