PORTLAND, Ore., Sept. 15 (UPI) -- The U.S. Navy has implemented Eid Passport Inc.'s identity management and access control technologies at the Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake.

Oregon-based Eid Passport was selected to integrate its RAPIDGate system at the Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake in California as part of an effort to increase security levels and improve access capabilities for regular vendors at the installation.

Eid Passport, which was recently contracted to implement its ID system at Naval Base Ventura County, says its RAPIDGate program is designed to streamline access for vendors and other contractors following background screening and biometric verification.

"We're pleased the Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake has joined the list of RAPIDGate customers," Steve Larson, Eid Passport chief executive officer, said in a statement.

"As a research, development, acquisition, test evaluation facility, thorough background screening of those populations who regularly access the base is essential to protecting the mission, the personnel and the families on board the installation."
