CACI selected to support NCIS

ARLINGTON, Va., Sept. 1 (UPI) -- The U.S. Navy has contracted CACI International Inc. to provide information technology support for law enforcement and counterintelligence operations.

U.S. company CACI has been contracted to provide the Naval Criminal Investigative Service with IT support services. Under the $72 million contract CACI will be expected to provide NCIS headquarters and its worldwide installations with network, software and applications IT support among other requirements.

The CACI contract with the NCIS, the Navy's law enforcement and counterintelligence arm, also includes technical assistance in the development of new processes, procedures and program management.

"With this contract, CACI's support of the U.S. Navy is further enhanced," Paul Cofoni, CACI president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.

"For the first time, we can provide the Department of the Navy with comprehensive expertise in the areas of law enforcement, counterintelligence, and counterterrorism worldwide."
