NEW YORK, Aug. 28 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has awarded L-3 Communications a follow-on contract to provide support for information dominance and security requirements.
New York-based L-3 says its MPRI division was awarded the contract from the Army Program Executive Officer Enterprise Information Systems. L-3 was awarded an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract by the Army PEO-EIS and is one of several contractors that will compete for $500 million in task orders.
Officials say the ID/IQ contract is designed to support the Army PEO-EIS with program management services in support of evolving requirements for information dominance and security.
"L-3 has been a trusted partner for over six years, supporting the Army in their vital ongoing mission to provide acquisition excellence and the rapid fielding of services and products that better serve our soldiers," Dan Keefe, MPRI National Group senior vice president and general manager, said in a statement.
