
MCLEAN, Va., Aug. 26 (UPI) -- Two Alion Science and Technology-operated Information Analysis Centers have release a journal chronicling U.S. Defense Department energy security initiatives.
The Alion-operated Advanced Materials, Manufacturing, and Testing Information Analysis Center and the Weapon Systems Technology Information Analysis Center announced the release of a journal documenting the latest research on efforts to advance energy security.
The 92-page journal, titled "Powering the Future Force: New Power & Energy Technologies for the Warfighter," chronicles energy security technology advancements, programs and efforts to support a secure power and energy supply for the military.
"For the (Defense) Department to succeed in responding to the energy challenge, access to the latest information on energy research is essential," Terry Heston, the Defense Technical Information Center Information Analysis Center program manager, said in a statement.
"Defense Department Information Analysis Centers are a vital resource in this endeavor. Powering the Future Force is a significant contribution and important first step in the Information Analysis Center Program's engagement in addressing this topic."
