
HOUSTON, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- KBR announced plans to establish a new business group targeting government, defense and infrastructure work in several regions including the Middle East.
U.S. company KBR announced the formation of its new Government, Defense and Infrastructure Business Group. KBR says the new unit will be headed by Bill Bodie, currently the company's senior vice president for government and infrastructure customer relations and strategy.
KBR says it established the new group to address evolving requirements in North America, the Middle East, the United Kingdom and Australia.
"After evaluating the various strategies, customers, activities and projects within KBR's current Government and Infrastructure Business, it was determined that the current Government and Infrastructure Business should evolve to become a Business Group which oversees KBR's activities in the Government, Defense and Infrastructure markets," William Utt, KBR chairman, president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
