HERNDON, Va., Aug. 19 (UPI) -- iDirect Government Technologies says results from a recent U.S. military exercise the company supported successfully demonstrated its satellite systems.
U.S. company iGT says its VT iDirect subsidiary has analyzed results following its participation in the U.S. Joint User Interoperability Communications Exercise.
The JUICE disaster testing, conducted across multiple U.S. military locations around the world, successfully demonstrated several of iGT's military-grade satellite communications technologies designed to support reliable connectivity in operational combat theaters.
According to a news release, the "iDirect DVB-S2 network performed as well in the exercise environment as it did in the laboratory (and the) adaptive coding and modulation … essentially double(d) throughput rates to end users while operating during rain fade events without user intervention."
