SCHAUMBURG, Ill., Aug. 12 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army's recent selection of defense contractors for Automatic Identification Technology task orders includes four strategic partners of Motorola.
U.S. company Motorola announced four of its strategic partners that include CDO Technologies, GTSI, Lowry Computer, and Northrop Grumman were selected to compete for AIT-IV task orders from the Army Information Technology, E-Commerce, and Commercial Contracting Center.
Motorola says the indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract will include its "Mobile Computing, Handheld Scanning and Management Software Products" used by its strategic partners, a new release said.
"Motorola congratulates our partners on these awards and looks forward to working closely with them," Jim Mears, Motorola U.S. Federal Government Market Division vice president and general manager, said in a statement.
"These wins validate Motorola's channel centric go-to-market strategy and role in providing innovative AIT solutions that meet the needs of Defense Department mission-critical applications."
