SAN DIEGO, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- U.S. company PepperBall Technologies Inc. announced the launch of its new pepper powder gun technology designed to support non-lethal protection requirements.
PepperBall has released its new HotShot tiny pepper powder gun. The HotShot gun is part of an effort by PepperBall to offer a non-lethal weapon solution for military, government and also the general public for the first time.
Officials say the HotShot is a lightweight and compact weapon that can instantly burst a powder irritate cloud up to 12 feet for personal protection.
"The HotShot is as easy as pulling the trigger, whereas pepper sprays can take several minutes to properly administer and require accurate aiming to be effective," Conrad Sun, PepperBall Technologies chief operations officer, said in a statement.
