ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- A conference set to take place in the United Arab Emirates is expected to draw international defense experts to discuss armored vehicle technologies.
Organizers of the Armored Vehicles Middle East 2009, scheduled to take place at the end of November, say the conference is expected to gather international defense industry experts to the Le Royal Meridien hotel in Abu Dhabi for discussions on armored vehicle design optimization strategies.
Officials say the second annual two-day conference is also part of an effort to assess the latest armored vehicle technologies and management strategies and "share the latest practical solutions to guarantee long-term core capabilities of armored platforms, whilst allowing for adaptability to various operational requirements," a news release said.
