
MCLEAN, Va., Aug. 4 (UPI) -- U.S. company Science Applications International Corp. has completed its acquisition of business and technical consulting company R.W. Beck Group Inc.
SAIC announced Monday its acquisition of Seattle-based R.W. Beck, including the company's emergency management consultant unit Beck Disaster Recovery, has been completed.
As part of the deal, R.W. Beck will become part of SAIC's Infrastructure, Logistics and Product Solutions Group, and Beck Disaster Recovery will join the company's Homeland Protection and Preparedness unit.
"The energy and all hazards preparedness markets represent growing areas of demand for professional services and solutions, and are key areas of focus of our long-term strategy," Joe Craver, SAIC's Infrastructure, Logistics and Product Solutions Group president, said in a statement.
"We're enthusiastic about the potential to cross-sell our services across a broad base of commercial, municipal, and federal customers."
