MIAMISBURG, Ohio, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Oshkosh Corp. has awarded O'Neil & Associates Inc. a subcontract to support the U.S. military's mine-resistant, ambush-protected All Terrain Vehicles program.
Oshkosh was selected by the Defense Department in June as the prime contractor to deliver a new MRAP vehicle that weighs less and is more maneuverable to handle operations in Afghanistan's rugged terrain.
U.S. company O'Neil announced it has been awarded a subcontract from Oshkosh to support the MRAP All Terrain Vehicles program. Under the deal, O'Neil will deliver military-format technical manuals for the M-ATV program.
"Oshkosh clearly offers the best vehicle for the M-ATV's mission," Bob Heilman, O'Neil president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
"We are pleased that Oshkosh has chosen O'Neil to help them provide our armed forces with the best possible product support for that vehicle."
