ANNANDALE, Va., July 23 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has contracted Contextware Inc. to deliver its manufacturing process capture software technologies.

U.S. company Contextware was awarded the contract to support the Army Contracting Command, Joint Munitions and Lethality Contracting Center at Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey.

Under the deal, Contextware will deliver its manufacturing process capture software to the Army ARDEC to help support the establishment of a "methodology to manage manufacturing process information through the implementation of an Armament Manufacturing Integrated Data Environment," a news release said.

"We're very pleased to be selected by ARDEC to support its overall mission to improve already fielded items, develop new ones and maintain a strong armament technology," David Austin, Contextware president, said in a statement.

"Contextware's technology is well suited to capturing, organizing and delivering critical manufacturing process knowledge and information to a distributed audience."
