Army contracts Alion to support ETF

MCLEAN, Va., July 22 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has contracted Alion Science and Technology to conduct research and testing for the Enterprise Task Force Director.

U.S. company Alion was awarded a $6.4 million contract to support the Army's enterprise transformation efforts to develop and maintain forces for potential future conflicts.

Under the contract Alion will provide the Army Enterprise Task Force Director with research and analysis services in order to support recommendations to support Army operational goals.

"Our goal is to support the Army as its leaders take a holistic approach in order to support operations across all of the mission areas," Timer Keenan, Alion senior vice president and manager of the Strategic Operations Group, said in a statement.

"Having the Army succeed in its mission is non-negotiable, and Alion will assist the Army in creating an environment where efficiencies are reaped and effectiveness is optimized across every resource area."
