HERNDON, Va., July 21 (UPI) -- U.S. company Trusted Computer Solutions announced its SimShield data security technology has passed the Secret and Below Interoperability level certification.
TCS, with support from the U.S. Pacific Air Forces and the Air Force 353 Combat Training Squadron, says its Linux-based SimShield has been certified at the SABI level.
Following the certification, the SimShield technology will be implemented by the Pacific Air Forces to support a secured data communication capability between different security classifications.
"Today's warfighter requires access to both classified and unclassified data across multiple networks," Ed Hammersla, Trusted Computer Solutions chief operating officer, said in a statement.
"With the recent SABI certification, warfighters now have a near real-time simulation solution to prepare for any combat situation. Our SimShield cross domain solution is an effective tool for training the nation's military that meets the high standards and initiatives of the Department of Defense."
