VIENNA, Va., July 10 (UPI) -- U.S. company ManTech Cyber Solutions International announced the launch of a new digital forensic tool to support the law enforcement and military markets.

ManTech CSI, a new subsidiary established by ManTech International Corp., announced the release of its Crowbar forensics technology. The Crowbar is designed to decipher personal identification numbers from electronic devices like cell phones taken into evidence.

Officials say by cracking the PIN numbers on electronic devices, law enforcement and military authorities will be able to access information potentially critical to investigations.

"We developed Crowbar as a solution to a dilemma faced by many of our customers -- how to recover PIN-protected data from electronic devices taken into evidence," Alex Nieves, ManTech CSI president, said in a statement.
