BINGEN, Wash., July 10 (UPI) -- U.S. company Insitu Inc. announced it has expanded its unmanned aircraft system production capacity in a move to address growing defense market demands.
Insitu Thursday said its new manufacturing facility located in Stevenson, Wash., has expanded the company's ability to produce its unmanned aircraft technologies.
The expanded manufacturing capacity announcement was coupled with a milestone achievement from Insitu following the delivery of its 1,000th ScanEagle UAS.
"The great news behind the 1,000th ScanEagle is that the company's agility, robust supply chain, superior quality control and a tightly integrated delivery system are well in place to serve our customers," Andrew Brignoli, Insitu vice president of product operations, said in a statement.
