FAIRFAX, Va., July 10 (UPI) -- General Dynamics has been contracted by the Ohio-based National Air and Space Intelligence Center to support the Advanced Technical Exploitation Program.

NASIC, located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, awarded the contract to General Dynamics' Advanced Information Systems business unit to support the Advanced Technical Exploitation Program with analysis and software systems development support among other services.

NASIC is the U.S. Defense Department's unit that conducts processing, exploitation, analysis, integration and dissemination of measurement and signature intelligence data work.

Under the contract, General Dynamics will compete along with two other contractors for $600 million in task orders.

"General Dynamics will continue to deliver our broad set of advanced sensing and exploitation capabilities to help NASIC meet their mission of ensuring that national decision makers and our armed forces can monitor and assess existing and evolving capabilities of our nation's adversaries," Lou Von Thaer, General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, president said in a statement.
