SAN DIEGO, July 9 (UPI) -- U.S. company Z Microsystems announced the launch of its new display technology with applications designed to support unmanned aerial vehicles.

Z Microsystems announced the debut of its Ground Control Station display panel with real-time enhanced video capabilities. The release of the GCS display with real-time enhanced video is a move to address the evolving demands of UAV live video surveillance feeds.

Company officials say the GCS display with real-time enhanced video is designed to offer military and homeland security authorities a display system that improves image clarity in difficult visibility environments among other advances.

"Our new GCS displays dramatically improve the quality of video images for operators of ground control stations, command centers and aerial surveillance," Jack Wade, Z Microsystems president, said in a statement.

"Currently, there are no other systems available with this level of image enhancement.
