MCLEAN, Va., July 9 (UPI) -- Virginia-based defense contractor Trace Systems announced it has completed its acquisition of engineering and technology transition services company SynExi.
Trace Systems said Wednesday it completed its purchase of SynExi as part of an effort to expand its engineering and technical service capabilities for the defense, homeland security and intelligence communities.
Virginia-based SynExi is a provider of technology transition, systems engineering, training and testing services for the Navy and Defense Information Systems Agency among others.
"The acquisition of SynExi adds strength to our engineering and technical services offering, specifically in the areas that are critical for our Department of Defense and Homeland Security customers … the management team at SynExi created a profitable business with the background, capabilities, and technical focus that we are pleased to add to our portfolio," Otto Hoernig, Trace Systems chief executive officer, said in a statement.
