
EDGEWOOD, N.Y., July 9 (UPI) -- The U.S. Air Force has placed a new order under a contract with CPI Aerostructures Inc. to deliver additional aircraft parts.
New York-based CPI Aero received a new order for its wing panel varieties from the Air Force as part of its C-5 TOP contract. Under the $1.8 million order, CPI Aero will deliver the wing panels to support the Air Force's aircraft ongoing sustainment requirements.
CPI Aero provides engineering along with technical service and parts for several helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft deployed by the Air Force including the surveillance and command engine nose cowl assemblies for E-3A Sentry aircraft also flown by NATO.
According to a news release, CPI Aero has received orders under the C-5 TOP program that have "totaled $25.7 million to date."
