CHICAGO, July 9 (UPI) -- The U.S. Air Force has awarded JBT Corp. a follow-on contract to provide worldwide engineering and logistics services for the department's Halvorsen Loaders.

U.S. company JBT, a systems and products manufacturer and services provider, says its AeroTech unit was awarded the contract. Under the $5.1 million deal, JBT AeroTech will provide engineering and logistics services for the Air Force's Halvorsen 25K Loaders.

The Halvorsen 25K Loader is used by military forces to load, unload and transport palletized cargo on aircraft.

"We have a long-term relationship with the United States Air Force and are very pleased to continue providing strong support services for the Halvorsen fleet worldwide," John Lee, JBT AeroTech vice president and division manager, said in a statement.
