FAIRFAX, Va., July 6 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has contracted Perot Systems Corp. to support the Directorate of Information Management transition at Fort Monmouth in New Jersey.

U.S. company Perot Systems says its QSS Group Inc. subsidiary was awarded the DOIM transition support contract. Under the $37 million deal, QSS Group will join a team that includes Harris IT Services and General Dynamics Information Technology supporting the DOIM transition.

The QSS Group, Harris and General Dynamics team will provide the Army's Fort Monmouth installation with information technology infrastructure and consolidation support services for the DOIM transition.

"Perot Systems is proud of the work we've done at Ft. Monmouth, especially in helping the base transition to a single DOIM," Lee Carrick, Perot Systems government services business unit president, said in a statement.

"This move will help the overall Army warfighter to communicate more effectively. We look forward to continuing to serve the Army, and to providing them with forward-looking, mission-focused solutions that will help them further consolidate and improve the cost effectiveness of their enterprise IT infrastructure."
