Mikros awarded deal for Navy radar support

PRINCETON, N.J., July 6 (UPI) -- Mikros Systems Corp. has been contracted to provide engineering and development support for U.S. Navy radar technologies.

U.S. company Mikros was selected to provide engineering and development of distance support applications for Navy radars as part of the Common Digital Sensor Architecture program.

Under the $225,000 contract, awarded by Maryland-based DRS C3 Systems, Mikros will provide the CDSA program with engineering services as part of an effort to advance legacy radar systems with the development of a common interface design.

"This new contract confirms our ability to develop and deliver distance support solutions for U.S. Navy radars and other electronic systems," Tom Meaney, Mikros president, said in a statement.

"We are very pleased to work with DRS C3, and look forward to transferring our knowledge and experience with U.S. Navy distance support programs into the DRS C3 products."
