FAIRFAX, Va., July 6 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has contracted Argon ST Inc. to support the Communications-Electronics Command Acquisition Center in New Jersey.
U.S. company Argon ST was contracted to provide the Army's CECOM Acquisition Center with technology enabler development services. Under the approximately $8 million deal, Argon ST will support the enablers with research and development.
According to a news release the enablers are part of CECOM's mission to "develop, acquire and sustain superior information technologies and integrated systems in order to secure battle space dominance for America's warfighters."
"The work on this project will help to ensure that warfighters have uninterrupted access to advanced airborne communications intelligence technology," Kerry Rowe, Argon ST president and chief operating officer, said in a statement.
"Argon's Lighthouse product line model is ideal for what U.S. Army is striving for with technology enablers. Through the use of commercial off-the-shelf based products, reusable software, and repeatable processes, we are able to bring new capabilities to market as well as upgrade those already in theatre in a streamlined and efficient manner."
