FALLS CHURCH, Va., June 23 (UPI) -- CSC has been contracted to provide the U.S. Navy with information technology support for the Naval Network Warfare Command's operations in the Far East.

U.S. company CSC says it was awarded the task order from the Navy's Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk for IT network support services as part of a General Services Administration's Schedule 70 contract.

Under the $29 million award, CSC will support the Naval Network Warfare Command's Outside the Continental United States Navy Enterprise Network, or ONE-NET, operations in the Far East including Japan, Korea and Singapore among other locations.

"CSC's mission-critical support to ONE-NET improves the operation and effectiveness of critical enterprise networks for the Navy in the Far East region," Austin Yerks, CSC North American Public Sector Defense Group president, said in a statement.

"ONE-NET is an essential building block of the future naval networking environment and we look forward to supporting the Navy's plans to integrate afloat and ashore networks to deliver unparalleled operational capabilities for the cyber warfighter."
