Sourcefire, SRA sign reseller agreement

COLUMBIA, Md., May 6 (UPI) -- U.S. company Sourcefire has reached a deal with SRA International Inc. for the company to resell its intrusion-prevention technology to government agencies.

Under the agreement, SRA will resell the Sourcefire 3D System cyber threat intrusion-defense software to potential government customers.

Sourcefire said its 3D System, which will extend SRA's cybersecurity offerings, offers protections against hackers and other cybercriminals by tailoring the threat-detection capabilities to the individual needs of the government agencies.

"SRA leads the industry in providing government organizations with the expertise and technologies to protect their most critical assets, and Sourcefire's system adds additional robust intrusion-prevention capabilities to our solution set," Jim McClave, SRA vice president of products and offerings, said in a statement.
