HORSHAM, Pa., April 13 (UPI) -- U.S. company Mace Security International Inc. announced plans to acquire security-monitoring solutions company Central Station Security Systems Inc.
Mace, a personal-defense and electronic-surveillance products developer, announced it will acquire California-based CSSS after signing a definitive purchase agreement.
The acquisition, expected to conclude within 30 days if all customary closing conditions are met, is part of an effort by Mace to expand its security division.
"We are very excited about this future acquisition," Dennis Raefield, Mace chief executive, said in a statement.
"This acquisition is an important piece of our security division's growth strategy. CSSS has historically been profitable and gives Mace the ability to cross-market our surveillance products to established repeat customers."
