Teen solves centuries-old math problem
ARLINGTON, Va., March 3 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has contracted CACI International Inc. to provide support services for sensors and night-vision intelligence and surveillance technologies.
U.S. company CACI was awarded a deal to support the Army's Product Manager Forward Looking Infrared and Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate as part of a Strategic Services Sourcing contract vehicle.
Under the estimated $40 million contract, CACI will provide the Army's PM FLIR sensor-based systems with engineering and logistics support and other services as part of a Defense Department initiative to strengthen the survivability of soldiers in the field.
"The Army's Strategic Services Sourcing contract provides CACI with the opportunity to help develop the next generation of tactical sensors to support our nation's warfighters in theater," Paul Cofoni, CACI president and chief executive, said in a statement.
"The award demonstrates our commitment to support the Department of Defense's acquisition community in all aspects of its tactical missions."
