HERNDON, Va., Feb. 19 (UPI) -- The U.S. Defense Information Systems Agency has contracted DLT Solutions Inc. as part of the Department of Defense Enterprise Software Initiative.

U.S. company and technology solutions developer DLT was awarded a blanket purchase agreement from DISA. Under the five-year, $18 million contract, DLT will provide Red Hat software and services for use in the Department of Defense Enterprise Software Initiative.

DLT has integrated itself with prominent software and hardware manufacturers, including Red Hat, in a move to offer an in-depth product portfolio to the defense market and others.

"This contract award is another testament to DLT's successful partnership with Red Hat and its enterprise Linux solution set," Rick Marcotte, DLT president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.

"We are looking forward to continuing to provide our present and future Defense Department clients with the products, service and support critical to their success."
