OVERLAND PARK, Kan., Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Kansas-based Digital Ally Inc. announced the launch of a new surveillance technology for police motorcycle fleets.
Digital Ally released its DVM-500M Digital Video System designed for motorcycles and other mobile police or homeland security applications. Company officials say the DVM-500M, which builds on their line of police car surveillance technologies, is capable of withstanding the potentially harsh weather conditions police motorcycles are subjected to.
"We are excited to announce the introduction of our new DVM-500M system, which has been under development for the past year," Stanton Ross, Digital Ally chief executive officer, said in a statement.
"We believe the DVM-500M will be quickly recognized as the most advanced video surveillance system on the market for motorcycle fleets, and it will significantly bolster the ability of motorcycle officers to document evidence of criminal activity on a 'real-time' basis."
Digital Ally expects to have the new DVM-500M available in February 2009.
