SPRINGFIELD, Va., Dec. 12 (UPI) -- U.S. company Versar has been contracted to provide engineering services in support of development projects in Iraq.
Versar announced its Versar International Assistance Projects subsidiary was awarded an $8.26 million contract. Under the deal VIAP will provide architect engineering services for multiple projects in Iraq.
Officials say VIAP, which currently supports 150 reconstruction projects in Iraq, will provide analysis and assessment services to support decisions on the best course of action on several Iraqi development projects through September 2009.
"This award reflects an expansion of our present quality assurance reconstruction work in Iraq," Ted Prociv, Versar president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
