
SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- The U.S. Navy has contracted URS Corp. for the company to provide the Navy Tactical Computer Resources program with technical support services.
U.S. company URS was awarded a $40 million deal from the Navy for repair, recertification and technical support, among other services for the NTCR program on a continual basis.
Under the two-year contract, which has options for an additional three years, URS also will provide repair support services for the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, in Indiana and the Naval Inventory Control Point in Pennsylvania.
"We are very proud to have been selected to support the Navy in its effort to ensure the upkeep and readiness of critical legacy equipment," Randall Wotring, URS EG&G Division president, said in a statement.
"URS is a leading provider of engineering and electronics support to the Department of Defense, and we look forward to continuing our work on the NTCR program."
