RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif., Dec. 9 (UPI) -- U.S. company Emrise Corp. has received new orders for its improvised explosive device jamming technologies worth approximately $2 million.

Emrise says the new orders were received by its Advanced Control Components Inc. subsidiary from an unnamed client for the delivery of radio frequency devices used in its IED jamming systems. Officials say the jamming systems are designed to block the frequency that detonates roadside explosives in combat theaters.

"As these additional orders demonstrate, Advanced Control Components have proven to be an important and beneficial acquisition for Emrise," Carmine Oliva, Emrise chief executive officer, said in a statement.

"The Advanced Control Components products, as well as products developed by our other subsidiaries, continue to prove their value in the marketplace."

Company officials say the new orders will be shipped before the first quarter of 2009.
