FAIRFAX, Va., Dec. 8 (UPI) -- The U.S. Navy has modified a contract with Argon ST Inc. for the company to continue development of communications intelligence technologies.
Virginia-based Argon ST was awarded an approximately $30.4 million contract modification to provide the Navy with Ship's Signal Exploitation Equipment Increment E sensor systems.
Officials say the SSEE award, the sixth phase of a multiyear deal with the Navy, is part of an ongoing initiative to equip surface ships with advanced communications intelligence system.
"The SSEE program has been a long-term contract for Argon," Terry Collins, Argon ST chairman and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
"We are very proud that the technology and systems we have developed will provide our operational forces with the most modern capabilities in the world."
