FALLS CHURCH, Va., Nov. 24 (UPI) -- The U.S. Navy has contracted DynCorp International to support aircraft operations at Naval Station Norfolk in Virginia.

U.S. company DynCorp was awarded a $10.6 million task order as part of its Contract Field Teams contract vehicle with the Navy. Under the deal, DynCorp will support Naval Station Norfolk with aircraft support services, including aircraft movement and inspections, among other tasks for sea-based and shore-based operations.

Company officials say the task order specifically includes support for the Navy's VAW-120 Squadron and HSC-2 Squadron.

"We are pleased to be awarded this first task order under the new Contract Field Teams vehicle," William Ballhaus, DynCorp chief executive officer, said in a statement.
