Bell Helicopter contracts Dassault

LOWELL, Mass., Nov. 12 (UPI) -- U.S. company Bell Helicopter has contracted Dassault Systemes for program management technologies to support the product life management.

Dassault Systemes, a developer of three-dimensional program management technologies, was contracted by Bell Helicopter for its trademarked Enovia Aerospace and Defense Accelerator system. Officials say the Enovia system will standardize several of Bell Helicopter's business processes for more efficient sharing of product information at the company's sites around the world.

Dassault Systemes says through integration of Enovia, Bell Helicopter will be able to reduce the time needed to meet evolving Federal Aviation Administration and U.S. Defense Department requirements.

"Increased global demand and a more complex business environment created unsustainable pressure on our existing legacy technology systems," Glenn Isbell, Bell Helicopter program manager, said in a statement.

"We therefore needed the lowest-risk approach to get maximum benefits from significant business process improvements. The partnership with Dassault Systemes will enable us to meet these challenges through an integrated solution that will establish a series of best practices to better manage and securely distribute product information globally within our company and across the supply chain."
