FAIRFAX, Va., Oct. 28 (UPI) -- The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation has contracted QinetiQ North America to provide security services at the FBI's Engineering Research Facility.

Virginia-based QinetiQ North America says its Security and Intelligence Services business unit received the $3.7 million contract from the FBI.

Under the five-year deal, QinetiQ, a technology and responsive solutions developer for the defense and homeland security market, will provide the FBI's Quantico, Va.-based engineering research installation with security management and other support services.

"We are pleased and excited by this important opportunity to provide the FBI with high-quality, reliable and responsive security services in support of their essential law enforcement mission," Michael Stolarik, QinetiQ North America Mission Solutions group president, said in a statement.

"The work the Bureau has entrusted to us lies squarely in our core strengths, and we look forward to serving the FBI in Quantico with some of the best solutions industry has to offer."
